- The most important thing is that all new clients should -- Expect to be involved in the design process! The better quality of contact between the client and designer will result in a much better finished product.
- Email, MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger are ideal means of communication.
- Try to have a target / deadline date as to when you would like to see your new website launched. Setting reasonable goals for completion motivates the client to provide all necessary information in a timely manner ... and it keeps the designer on-track too!
- When the color scheme, general layout, digital images and website content have been discussed and transferred via email, disc or CD, design will begin.
- Remember that 50% of the total estimated cost is due as a deposit prior to the start of design.
- Clients are given a test site to view their new website while the design progresses. Any input as the design is developing is very helpful (this is where MSN Messenger and/or Yahoo Messenger come in really handy).
- When the client is satisfied with the completed website, the key words, meta tags, a website description will be implemented into the html head of the website.
- Key words and the description should be provided to Holly Solo Website Design, however they can be determined from the text on each of the pages of the website (Holly would implement at her own discretion).
- At this point the final payment and/or balance is to be paid, as the final product is ready to be launched to the Internet.
- The client will be given a CD with all of the graphics, html and additional files used to create the website.
- The client's new website is submitted to many free search engines.
